We had our first sewing meeting tonight, and I think we all learned something new. Jamie demonstrated how to make no-sew tutus with bling, we shared some of our favorite finished projects and went over the project list.
Tara and Jessica G. learned how to thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin for the very first time! With that out of the way, I think we'll be seeing great things from both of them. Barbara shared a gorgeous, little red silk dress and christening gown she made for her grand daughter. We're lucky to have Barbara and her years of sewing experience in our group. Deanna shared some fantastic project books with us that I know we will draw on at future meetings. And Jenn clued us in to the East Bay Depot for Creative Resuse, which I will certainly be visiting soon.
Talent and enthusiasm abound. I can't wait for our next meeting!
